I believe that sugar and salt should not be the same color. It is so easy to accidentally put sugar on your food and salt in your drink. For example this one time I was in palestine about 2 years ago to visit my grandparents and i went to a wedding. It was for one of my dad’s friends. It was quite a blast because I had a really good time watching it.
During the wedding we had lots of good food, mostly arab, but still very good. Then all the kids got to play soccer and it was lots of fun. After, my brothers a few other friends, and I got to go up an old abandoned building and watch the wedding. We could see the house, the people, the stores, and a lot more while having the wind blown in our faces. Then I saw a store from the building that looked interesting so I went in and saw toys, electronics, different kinds of food and a whole lot of coffee. I went through them all and when I went through the coffee section I saw mocha and that is when i bought it. I ran back to the house thinking only about the mocha and how good it would be. The following day my parents left me and my brothers in the house. So I decided this would be the perfect time to make the mocha. So then I got out some milk and heated it on the stove. After a few minutes I took it off and put the powder and four spoons of sugar. It smelt sweet and kind of like cinnamon and it looked good, brown and hot. But then i tasted it and instead of putting sugar I ended up putting salt. So the very first sip that I took tasted like i had swallowed a big sip of the ocean and I automatically spit it out. I dumped it out into the sink and I almost felt like I was going to throw up. So I went into the living room and my brother asked what happened to your mocha. I said I accidentally put salt in it instead of sugar in a really low voice. Then he jumped up and started laughing almost to the point where he cried. Then my other brother came in and my brother told him what i did and he started making fun of me. My face was red of embarrassment and I just sat there for a few minutes. So in the end I realized that if sugar and salt were not the same color I would not have gotten made fun of. I know that i could have tasted it to see if it was sugar or salt but it would just be easier my way. Then I also noticed that I lost my first chance to taste that mocha and the money I spent on the mocha. So in the end I believe that sugar and salt should not be the same color so we do not mix them up and mess up something you are about to eat or drink.
