In the book, Someone Named Eva, her and her family live in Lidice, Czechoslovakia. In the book Nazi soldiers break down her door and takes her brother and father somewhere. Her, her mother, and her grandmother were told to leave for three days. In real life history, Czechoslovakia becomes ruins after nazi soldiers come and destroy it. One hundred seventy three men over the age of fifteen and eleven that were later found were executed. One hundred eighty four women and eighty eight children were taken to concentration camps. In the book it shows just one family that was in the massacre by showing how families were hurt and seperated. In my book the grandmother and the parents were talking and one of the parents mentioned Hitler and the grandmother got mad and started screaming. Which means she hated Hitler and everybody agreed and told her to calm down. Also in the book it talks about how the nazi made jews wear something to represent themselves. Just like in real history and that led to the holocaust.
